Deodorant during menopause: reading the label

If you are looking at deodorant labels for the first time in a while, here are the things people usually want to know, and what is on ours.

Deodorant is not antiperspirant. Antiperspirants use aluminum salts to reduce sweat. A deodorant works on smell and leaves the sweating where it is. If the sweating itself is what you want to talk about, that is one for your GP.

Baking soda is the other label word to look for, because it turns up in a lot of natural deodorants. Ours does not contain it. Magnesium hydroxide and arrowroot powder are on the list instead.
